Overview
The Dominican American Nat’l Foundation - DANF provides social services to low income
families and individuals, and to immigrants that reside in this area. Among the
free services and programs that we provide are: a very successful after-school
program, Positive Youth and Families, our literacy program, Family Empowerment -our
teens’ program, and summer camps for kids.
There are a lot of people in the neighborhood that benefit from our programs.
Unfortunately we have outgrown our current facilities. For this reason, DANF is
raising money to build a new 9,000 sq./ft facility, that would accommodate more
participants for our after-school programs.

Overview
The Theta Alpha Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization in conjunction with Omega Psi
Phi Fraternity, Theta Alpha Chapter will host their Fifth Annual Golf Tournament on
June 3, 2007. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to the continuation of
Theta Alpha's efforts to be at the forefront of community service, social action,
and the education of our youth. The foundations' most recent focus is on
implementing programs targeted to advance literacy and help uplift our community's
youth. To that end, we have been successful in instituting effective scholarship and
mentoring programs that we look to both continue and expand.
The Theta Alpha Foundation, a Texas non-profit corporation chartered on May 15, 1987
is a 501(c)(3) community services organization. The primary mission of the Theta
Alpha Foundation is to provide educational opportunities to deserving minority and
disadvantaged youth in order to foster an interest in science, mathematics,
engineering and teaching as a profession. The Theta Alpha Foundation receives
financial support from the contributions of our supporters and our various
fund-raisers.

The Multicultural Network of Niagara Falls has teamed up with the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre and are hosting their annual “Beat the Heat” Golf Tournament. All money raised is in support of funding for
computers in Niagara Falls as well as the building fund in Welland. This
year, the tournament will be held on May 27, 2007 with a tee off at 7 a.m. The cost
is $80.00 which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, pasta dinner, lots of prizes,
and a charitable receipt for $35.00.

Last years 2006 trophy winners are expected to be in attendance to proudly

Charity golf tournament to benefit Tuberous Sclerosis Canada. Honorary

The purpose of the tournament is raise awareness of this dreadful disease known as
